Thinking about buying a sunken trampoline? Safe, durable, and stylish jumping fun!

A sunken trampoline is the perfect choice if you’re after a safe, durable, and stylish trampoline for your garden. More and more families are choosing trampolines that are dug into the ground because they sit lower and are therefore safer for children. At Etan Trampolines, we offer a wide range of sunken trampolines – from affordable options to premium models that can be fully customised.

Why choose a sunken trampoline?

A sunken trampoline is partially dug into the ground, so it only sits about 20 cm above lawn level. This low step makes it easy and safe for children to climb on and off. What’s more, an Inground trampoline gives your garden a neat and tidy look. No bulky above-ground trampoline, but a neatly integrated one that blends beautifully with its surroundings.

On top of that, our trampolines come with a specially designed trampoline edge pad with mesh edges. This prevents toys or other objects from ending up underneath the trampoline. Safety is always Etan Trampolines’ top priority.

Whether you’re looking for a Small Inground trampoline for a compact garden or a big trampoline with extra jumping space – there’s always a suitable option. You can also choose between a trampoline with safety net or a trampoline without safety net, where the model with a net offers extra protection while jumping.

Have your Inground trampoline professionally installed

When installing an Inground trampoline, it’s important that a pit is dug underneath it. The size of this pit differs per model and is clearly stated on our product pages. Don’t have the time or energy to dig it yourself? Then make use of our professional trampoline dig-in service! We offer:

  • Complete service from start to finish

  • Digging only

  • Assembly of the Inground trampoline

So you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which type of trampoline is best?

We define three types of trampolines: above-ground, inground, and flat.

  • Above-ground trampolines are generally considered the safest and offer practical benefits: no digging needed, flexible, easy to move, and a quality safety net can prevent falls.
  • Inground trampolines are partially sunk into the ground, look discreet in the garden, and are easily accessible for children.
  • Flat trampolines sit flush with the ground and are very aesthetic.

Which type suits your situation best depends on usage, desired location, and preferences for appearance and safety.

Note: an inground or flat trampoline cannot be installed everywhere. When in doubt, consult one of our specialists.

Is it a lot of work to dig in a trampoline?

Yes. Digging in a trampoline takes quite some work. An inground trampoline (20 cm above ground) is easier to install than a Flat-to-the-Ground trampoline. Most of the effort goes into digging the hole and backfilling the soil. Assembling the trampoline itself usually takes 1–2 hours, depending on the type, size, and whether a safety net is included.

What do I need to dig in a trampoline?

To install a trampoline in the ground, you’ll need:

  • An inground or flatground trampoline (not one on legs!)
  • Installation instructions
  • A spade or mini-excavator
  • A wheelbarrow
  • An earth container, trailer, or nearby space to dump the soil
  • A measuring tape and string to mark the pit
  • A level for flat installation
  • Optional drainage if the soil is wet
  • Ground cover or weed fabric to prevent weeds under the trampoline

Check beforehand for underground utilities, pipes, cables, or drains.

Who can dig in my trampoline?

Some trampoline suppliers offer a trampoline dig-in service. Since they are often the supplier or even the manufacturer, they usually know the installation best – so they’re often your best bet. There are also plenty of gardeners who can handle the (digging) work for you.

Note: Installing a trampoline isn’t just digging a hole. Make sure you check how someone plans to install your trampoline. When in doubt, contact your trampoline supplier.

How much does it cost to dig in a trampoline?

Costs vary depending on the size of the trampoline and ground conditions. For a professional dig-in service, prices usually range from €700 to €1,800, including digging, placing the trampoline, and finishing the edges.
