Children's trampoline

According to the European standard NEN-EN 71-14:2019, trampolines for household use are not intended for children under 36 months.

In practice, many children can safely start jumping from age 3, provided that:

• They are supervised
• A safety net is in place
• The trampoline is stable and meets CE and EN-71 safety standards

For one or two young children, a round trampoline of about 305 cm or a rectangular trampoline of 281×201 cm is sufficient.

If you have older children or want them to keep enjoying plenty of jumping later on, we recommend a round trampoline of about 427 cm or a rectangular trampoline of 380×275 cm.

The available garden space and the type of use determine the optimal size.

For kids, low, safe models with a fine-mesh safety net and a soft, durable trampoline safety pad are ideal. A compact trampoline (305 cm) provides enough jumping comfort without being too fast or powerful, and still offers plenty of jumping space as your child grows. Yes, a round trampoline is best for kids. The jump point is in the center, so children are naturally guided toward the middle. This makes it safer and more predictable than rectangular trampolines, which tend to produce more targeted and powerful jumps.

Yes. An inground trampoline is generally safer because the entry is low and the fall height is significantly reduced. Kids can get on and off more easily without the risk of tripping. It’s still essential to use a safety net, especially for younger children.

Yes. For children under 10, a safety net is strongly recommended. It prevents jumping off the trampoline and allows safer, more independent fun. A net with conical poles and durable mesh, like Etan uses, increases both safety and lifespan.

Every trampoline has a maximum user weight. Usually, this is between 50 kg and 200 kg. At Etan, it ranges – depending on the model – between 150 kg and 200 kg.

Etan trampolines are produced in Europe and meet strict safety standards. The trampoline safety pad is filled with 30 mm closed-cell foam (keeps its shape), covered with thick German PVC, and fully shielded so children don’t come into contact with springs or the frame. Together with the steel top rail of the safety net, this creates a robust, safe jumping environment.

A high-quality trampoline – like Etan’s – can last decades, especially with proper maintenance, protection, and timely replacement of parts. Etan uses durable European materials such as 1.8 mm thick galvanized steel, UV-resistant thick PVC, and 3 mm thick springs. Everything is produced in their own factory in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Parts are also individually replaceable – unlike cheaper kids’ trampolines – so you don’t have to replace the whole trampoline.

Cheaper trampolines usually last only a few seasons before rust, wear, and breakage make them unsafe.
