Above-ground trampoline – Safe and durable jumping fun in your own garden

Looking for an above-ground trampoline for your garden? A trampoline on legs is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to enjoy safe, flexible and long-lasting trampoline fun. At Etan Trampolines, you’ll find a wide range of standing trampolines of top European quality – available in various sizes, colours and designs. Ideal for kids and adults who love active outdoor play!

What is a trampoline on legs?

A trampoline on legs, also known as an above-ground trampoline, is a trampoline that stands on a sturdy frame above the ground. Unlike in-ground trampolines and level with the ground trampolines, an above-ground model doesn’t require any digging. Thanks to its elevated design combined with a trampoline ladder and a trampoline safety net, this trampoline is safe and easily accessible – especially for young children.

Why choose a standing trampoline?

A trampoline on legs offers several advantages compared to other models:

✔ Flexible placement

Since you don’t need to dig a hole, you can easily move or temporarily store the trampoline. Perfect when redesigning your garden or moving house.

✔ Optimal bounce

Our trampolines feature strong trampoline springs and a trampoline jump mat with Etan’s unique Diamond System, providing a smooth and controlled bounce – ideal for both beginners and advanced jumpers.

✔ Maximum safety

Combine your trampoline with a safety net and a thick trampoline padding for extra protection. All parts are designed with child safety in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a net around trampolines on legs?

For “medium or larger” recreational trampolines on legs, the European standard EN 71-14 requires a safety net.

Etan prioritizes safety – we only supply upright trampolines with a safety net. Using a trampoline on legs without a net is considered irresponsible today due to the risk of injury.

Which trampoline bounces the best?

The best jumping experience happens when a few things come together: a sturdy frame, long high-quality springs, a breathable jumping mat, and good energy transfer.

Higher-end trampolines, like semi-pro or flat to the ground models, give the smoothest and most controlled jumps thanks to their design and materials. They’re built for heavy use and are clearly a step above beginner models.

What is the best trampoline brand?

The best brand offers a combination of safety, durable materials, stable construction, and good warranties. Key factors include steel thickness, quality of the safety pad, type of springs, and place of production. Brands that produce in Europe with high-quality materials usually stand out in finish and longevity. The choice ultimately depends on usage intensity and budget.

What shapes of trampolines are there?

Round, oval, rectangular, and square. Which shape suits you best depends entirely on the user, the desired location, and the space around the trampoline. Not sure? Get in touch with us!

Which trampoline is best suited for children?

For kids, low, safe models with a fine-mesh safety net and a soft, durable trampoline safety pad are ideal. A compact trampoline (305 cm) provides enough jumping comfort without being too fast or powerful, and still offers plenty of jumping space as your child grows. Etan trampolines use 30 mm closed-cell foam and thick German PVC for extra fall protection and long-lasting durability.

What size trampoline should I choose for my children?

For one or two young children, a round trampoline of about 305 cm or a rectangular trampoline of 281×201 cm is sufficient.

If you have older children or want them to keep enjoying plenty of jumping later on, we recommend a round trampoline of about 427 cm or a rectangular trampoline of 380×275 cm.

The available garden space and the type of use determine the optimal size.

How high should a trampoline net be?

At least 180 cm measured from the jumping mat. This minimum height is legally required.
