Want to buy a rectangular flat to the ground trampoline? Discover the benefits

Are you looking for a rectangular flat to the ground trampoline that blends seamlessly into your garden? A flat to the ground trampoline rectangular combines design, safety, and jumping fun perfectly. These professional trampolines are installed completely level with the ground, making them barely visible in your garden while still offering maximum jumping performance. Ideal for families with children, as well as for enthusiastic jumpers or athletes.

Why choose a rectangular flat to the ground trampoline?

A rectangular trampoline has several advantages over a round trampoline:

  • Efficient use of space: Rectangular trampolines take up less unused space than round trampolines, which is especially convenient for narrow or smaller gardens.

  • Professional jumping quality: Unlike round trampolines, where the jump always pulls towards the centre, a rectangular trampoline offers an even jumping surface. This makes performing tricks, jumps, and somersaults much easier and more controlled.

  • Stylish and discreet in the garden: Because a flush trampoline is placed entirely in the ground, your garden view remains unobstructed. No bulky eyesores – just pure fun!

  • Popular with athletes: It’s no coincidence that professional trampoline athletes almost always choose a rectangular trampoline.

Our rectangular ground-level trampolines are equipped with an Etan OptiFlow trampoline jumping mat. This innovative trampoline mat ensures optimal airflow beneath the trampoline, resulting in even higher jumps and a more comfortable jumping experience.

The possibilities

The Etan flat to the ground rectangular trampoline is available in two premium versions: the Etan UltraFlat and the Etan PremiumFlat. Both models are specially designed for those seeking a stylish, safe, and durable trampoline that blends perfectly into any garden design. Thanks to their innovative design and high-quality materials, you’ll not only jump higher but also safer. The trampoline is equipped with a thick and weather-resistant trampoline edge pad, also known as the trampoline safety pad, which completely covers the trampoline springs. This greatly reduces the risk of injury, even with intensive use. Whether you choose the PremiumFlat for extra cushioning or the UltraFlat for sportier performance – at Etan, you’ll always find a flat to the ground trampoline that fits your garden and needs perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which type of trampoline is best?

We define three types of trampolines: above-ground, inground, and flat.

  • Above-ground trampolines are generally considered the safest and offer practical benefits: no digging needed, flexible, easy to move, and a quality safety net can prevent falls.
  • Inground trampolines are partially sunk into the ground, look discreet in the garden, and are easily accessible for children.
  • Flat trampolines sit flush with the ground and are very aesthetic.

Which type suits your situation best depends on usage, desired location, and preferences for appearance and safety.

Note: an inground or flat trampoline cannot be installed everywhere. When in doubt, consult one of our specialists.

Which rectangular trampoline is the best?

It depends on who’s using it and how. The best rectangular trampoline is one that still stands strong 10 years after it’s installed. No rust on the springs or frame, and maybe replaced over time with a new jumping mat, safety pad, or net.

What are the advantages of a rectangular trampoline?

A rectangular trampoline takes up relatively little space in the garden. Its shape fits perfectly in smaller gardens. The chance of bumping into someone while jumping is lower than on a round trampoline. Because the tension of the jumping mat is distributed along the length and width, not in a circle, you’re less likely to bounce straight to the center.

Note: It’s not allowed for multiple people to jump on the trampoline at the same time.

Is it a lot of work to dig in a trampoline?

Yes. Digging in a trampoline takes quite some work. An inground trampoline (20 cm above ground) is easier to install than a Flat-to-the-Ground trampoline. Most of the effort goes into digging the hole and backfilling the soil. Assembling the trampoline itself usually takes 1–2 hours, depending on the type, size, and whether a safety net is included.

What do I need to dig in a trampoline?

To install a trampoline in the ground, you’ll need:

  • An inground or flatground trampoline (not one on legs!)
  • Installation instructions
  • A spade or mini-excavator
  • A wheelbarrow
  • An earth container, trailer, or nearby space to dump the soil
  • A measuring tape and string to mark the pit
  • A level for flat installation
  • Optional drainage if the soil is wet
  • Ground cover or weed fabric to prevent weeds under the trampoline

Check beforehand for underground utilities, pipes, cables, or drains.

How much does it cost to dig in a trampoline?

Costs vary depending on the size of the trampoline and ground conditions. For a professional dig-in service, prices usually range from €700 to €1,800, including digging, placing the trampoline, and finishing the edges.

Who can dig in my trampoline?

Some trampoline suppliers offer a trampoline dig-in service. Since they are often the supplier or even the manufacturer, they usually know the installation best – so they’re often your best bet. There are also plenty of gardeners who can handle the (digging) work for you.

Note: Installing a trampoline isn’t just digging a hole. Make sure you check how someone plans to install your trampoline. When in doubt, contact your trampoline supplier.
